TGM Engineer

I.       DAILY TASK

The primary responsibility of TGM Engineer is to provide a technical support in maintaining on site for specialty gases, bulk gases, Compressed Dry Air (CDA) and Natural Gas (NG) delivery system including engineering management, operation, maintenance, continuous improvement process, troubleshooting and problem solving to client. TGM Engineer must collaborate with the client and vendors to make sure that all gas supply systems are properly maintained and capable of supplying gas to production without any interruptions.

II.      RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Plan, arrange and schedule a Preventive Maintenance (PM) and calibration for all gas supply systems including internal and external activities.

·       Participate for unscheduled maintenance on gas supply system at any time.

·       Determine a corrective action to be taken in the event of abnormal parameters and ensure that corrective action is completed.

·       Plan and arrange for any commissioning, start – up and charge in activity for new gas supply system.

·       Plan and arrange for any de – energized activity for unused gas supply system.

·       Responsible in the identification and resolution of gas -related manufacturing problems.

·       Involve customer’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) during any gas leakage.

·       Attend and rectify any emergency rectification relating to gas supply to the production

·       Generate site-specific reports and consolidate data as requested by Management

·       Accountable for the safety of all persons and surrounding facilities.

·       Preparing and attending the weekly meeting and monthly meeting with client.

·       Monitoring daily operation and maintenance activities by technicians.

·       Follow-up the consumables items ordering with site admin and monitoring the cost of purchasing.

·       Prepare daily interruption report and monthly service report for client.

·       To submit Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) for every quarter to client.

·       Assisting and executing gas charge-in activities gas charge-in and gas purging activities.

·       Ensuring to maintain a good 5s at chemical room, chemical storage, gas room, gas pad, bulk chemical and TCGM control room.

·       Conducting the operation training for the technicians

·       Require to 24/7 on-call and standby on weekend if needed.

·       Coordinating with planner/warehouse team to maintain adequate gas inventories.

·       Involve in the preparation of FMEA, work risk assessment (WRA), permit to work (PTW).

·       To report any abnormalities to coordinator, site manager and system owner.

·       Maintaining good housekeeping and 5S for all gas supply equipment and also at gas room, bulk gas farm and TGM control room.

·       Prepare and revise the checklist, standard operating procedure (SOP), work instruction (WI) and root cause analysis (RCA) according to operation practise.

·       Participate in customer and Kinetics System Malaysia programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance

·       Complying with all company rules and regulation including all safety guidelines as well as customer’s regulation as per key performance indicator stated.

·       Ensure that injury-free environment by maintaining zero accident, zero incident and zero environmental accident by follow all safety compliance.

·       Maintain a proper document & data control system according to ISO 9001 requirements.

III.            QUALIFICATIONS

Possess minimum a Diploma/Degree in engineering/others with at least 1 - 2 years of related working experience in Chemical system and Gas system

·       The Engineer must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

·       Other applications such as Microsoft Word, Power point, Excel, Outlook, Etc.

·       Preparation of service report and documentations.

·       Kinetics business – product and services.

·       Chemical system, Gas System, Programmable Logic Control, electrical, mechanical, instrument, electronic and Environment Health and Safety.

·       Quality Assurance Quality Checked (QA/QC), Commissioning, start-up and shutdown of system.

·       Conduct internal or external training on gas, chemical and Environment Health and Safety.

·       Familiar with Emergency Response Team (ERT) responsibilities.

·       Attended safety training in approved government agency such as NIOSH is an added advantage.

·       Knowledge in 8D report presentation, FMECA, Risk Assessment, HIRAC, Near-miss report, Facility Incident Report (FIR), Method of Statement (MOS) and Continues Improvement Program (CIP).

·       Familiar with ISO14001 and ISO9001:2008 auditing and certification process.

·       Attended professional training on Chemical system handling with professional and recognized organizations.

·       Knowledge in SCADA system and LSS system.
