The Security Supervisor

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Security Supervisor to join our security team in the Central Region. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our clients' premises and assets. As Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily security operations, managing security personnel, and ensuring that all security protocols and procedures are strictly adhered to. Your leadership and vigilance will be instrumental in creating a secure environment and upholding the highest standards of professional security services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and manage security personnel on assigned shifts to ensure optimal coverage and performance
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of premises to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities
• Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control devices
• Prepare and maintain detailed incident reports, security logs, and documentation of all security events and concerns
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and breaches of protocol
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to security team members
• Enforce compliance with all security policies, procedures, and client requirements
• Conduct security briefings and debriefings with staff members as required
• Communicate effectively with clients, law enforcement, and relevant stakeholders regarding security matters
• Perform regular risk assessments and recommend improvements to security measures

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional security experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Current security license and relevant certifications required by local authorities in the Central Region
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures, and crisis management
• Proficiency in operating security systems and surveillance equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Sound judgment, integrity, and a professional demeanour at all times
• Physical fitness and ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the assigned region
• Experience in handling conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques is advantageous
