Job Title: Setup/Process Technician

Job Summary:

The Setup/Process Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining product quality and meeting production targets.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ensuring that the injection molding process is set up correctly and operating at optimal efficiency.
• Setting up molding machines & robots
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
• Adhere to lean manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency

Experience:

• 3-5 years' experience with setting up and maintaining injection moulding machines. (Required)
• Education within the field would be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with different types of plastic injection moulding machines, materials, and processes ( scientific molding process ) .
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience programming robots (Asset).
• Familiarity with Negribossi and Engel machines (Asset).
• Experience in custom moulding and engineering materials.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to mentor and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
