Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are open 7 days/week. You will be expected to work weekends. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to better assist customers.
• Supervise junior staff members when required, ensuring adherence to store policies.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.

Skills

• Proven sales experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities.
• Experience supervising staff or leading teams is advantageous.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally.
• Previous experience in a grocery store setting is beneficial but not required.
• Proficient in retail math for accurate inventory management and sales reporting.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service at all times.
