The Whiskey Library Bar Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Newport World Resorts – Whisky Library ensuring exceptional guest service, signature beverage quality, and operational efficiency. The role includes managing daily operation, controlling inventory and costs, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and driving beverage sales, profitability and special events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and lead bar operations and service ambassadors assigned in the area
• Ensure high standards of beverage quality, presentation, and service.
• Manage inventory, ordering, stock control, and cost management.
• Monitor PNL sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Train, coach, and develop mixologists and service ambassadors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve service issues promptly.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and operational documentation as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of bar facilities and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
• Five (5) years and above in hotel F&B outlets or high-end standalone Bar Lounges or Restaurants, preferably within a resort or integrated resort setting.
• Extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, coffee, and specialty drinks.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel / Word / PPT) and familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written English; ability to communicate with a diverse guest base.
