Therapist

HB Recovery OP in Huntington Beach CA. Is looking for a Therapist- ACSW, AMFT, APCC. For our Mental Health treatment center.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director the Therapist is responsible for completing the Biopsychosocial assessment, developing treatment plans, conducting process groups and individual sessions with clients. Completing required assessments to adhere with DHCS/ Joint Commission compliance.

Major Task, Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily treatment experience of each of his/her clients.

Maintain appropriate documentation as required.

Conduct assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required.

Provide appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms.

Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed.

Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.

Crisis intervention services, including 5150 determinations.

Treatment Planning.

Complete Utilizations Review forms as required.

Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues.

Knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step model of recovery (AA, CA,NA,Alanon).

Charting Requirements.

Clinical Treatment Plan must be complete and signed in the required time frame per policies and procedures for company.

Biopsychosocial must be complete and signed within 72 of admit.

Clients must receive at least one individual sessions with primary therapist each week. Notes must be logged within 24 hours

If clinician leads groups, notes must be logged same day.

Minimum Qualifications.

Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment.

Master degree in psychology, social work, counseling or social science. Must be registered with The California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an AMFT or ACSW.

Minimum of two years’ experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance use disorder. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Class “C” Driver’s License (if driving for company), otherwise, will need Photo ID.

CPR/First Aid certification required, obtain upon employment and maintain current thereafter.

Criminal Background Clearance required

Negative TB Test Results required

Develop computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties upon employment.

Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
