Job Summary:

The Licensed Counselor at VisAbility of Pittsburgh plays an essential role for our clients. The licensed counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services. In this professional counseling role, services are offered to individuals, families, and groups. Assessments will be conducted by the counselor to help patients identify areas of need, develop coping strategies, and create an action plan to reach their goals. A professional degree and licensure must be maintained throughout this position.

A vital component of this position is effective and compassionate communication with our clients, their relatives, and other agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional counseling services to individuals, families, and groups
• Develop and effectively implement treatment plans and ability to provide crisis intervention services
• Conduct psychological assessments and provide treatment to patients
• Monitor new and existing clients in company's database and update information as needed
• Perform other duties as instructed

Job Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills in the areas of phone and video calls, written skills, and reporting.
• Understand clients' needs and desires with empathy and compassion
• Ability to multi-task with solid organizational and time-management skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a positive and rewarding environment

Requirements:

• Current Independent Clinical Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in PA
• Working Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office
• A reliable form of transportation or a valid Driver’s License with Insurance
• Clearances Required
• Applicants who are completing post-graduate supervised hours towards licensure need not apply

· Act 151 (Child Abuse History Clearance)

· Act 34 (Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History Clearance)

· Act 114 (Federal Criminal History Record Clearance)

Working Environment/Physical Demands:

Working Environment:

· General office environment: private, air-conditioned office, with moderate noise levels.

· Responsibility to lift and carrying supplies up to 25 Pounds without assistance.

Reasoning Abilities & Language Skills:

·Ability to evaluate information in order to implement a course of action and solution plan.

· Ability to follow and execute directives from leadership

· Strong confidence in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
