Therapist

Job Summary

Private practice with locations in downtown Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Lindenhurst (Long Island) is seeking compassionate and dedicated Therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support to adults (males and females) who present with various mental health issues and who are involved in the criminal justice system. This position involves conducting therapy sessions in person at either our Brooklyn or Lindenhurst office.

Duties

• Provide individual therapy based on clients' clinical needs - the opportunity to provide group and family therapy is based on experience
• Utilize an Electronic Record System to complete Progress Notes
• Complete 90-Day Treatment Plans
• Ensure that client files are up-to-date
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all client interactions
• Comfortable with administrative component - Uploading electronic docs, organizing your personal files for submission at the end of each month
• Complete Discharge Summaries
• Communicate with the Referral Agency

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
• Active New York State LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC required
• (Applicants with limited permits (MHC-LP) or those requiring supervision will be considered - Please just note this in the screening questions)
• Must be able to practice independently in New York State
• Experience providing psychotherapy to adults with mental health conditions
• Must operate under a business entity with an EIN for contractor payment - This is required for contractor roles with our company
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
• Proficiency in using telehealth technology for remote therapy sessions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish speaking a plus)
• Sex Offender Treatment experience a plus

Hours: Flexible - Set Your Own Schedule (Up to 40 hours/week)

Job Type: Fee for Service, Part Time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
