Job Responsibilities:  Therapy (group, individual, family); crisis management; direct clinical services for a broad range of Mental Health needs with adults and children to include diagnostic impressions, clinical assessments and referrals as needed.

Job Duties:

1. Obtain Therapist Certification of License as required by the Department of Mental Health and maintain Certification/License in good standing.

2. Build collaborative professional partnerships with community stakeholders including local police department, sheriff’s department and hospital(s).

3. Work with local authorities, on site when warranted, to assess mental health needs in the event that mental health is thought to be contributing factor during law enforcement interventions.

4. Assess individuals in need to determine which services/interventions/resources will be most appropriate for them and refer as needed.

5. Participate in in-center emergency system and hospital consultations as needed.

6. Participate in crisis management after-hours services as scheduled.

7. Conduct civil commitment pre-screening evaluations as needed.

8. Provide case and/or program consultation with family and outside resources (agencies) as needed.

9. Master’s Degree in Mental Health Field

10. Eligible to meet DMH Certification/Licensure requirements for Therapist

11. Valid Mississippi Driver’s License
