Thermal Control System Engineer for Lunar Mobility

Responsibilities In this role, you will oversee the thermal control system engineering for lunar exploration mobility, including building high-reliability thermal models and performing thermal analysis throughout the lifecycle.

■ Lunar Exploration Mobility Thermal Control System Engineering Oversight

ㅤ·Deriving requirements, establishing development models, and preparing technical documentation for the development of the thermal control system for lunar exploration mobility

ㅤ·Performing integrated engineering activities for the thermal control system, including schedule management, thermal hardware procurement, and coordination with external partners

■ Lunar Exploration Mobility Thermal Control System Design

ㅤ·Designing thermal control systems at both component and system levels for lunar exploration mobility and preparing thermal hardware interface control documents

ㅤ·Conducting component- and system-level thermal control system design and fabrication using 3D CAD tools

■ High-Reliability Thermal Model Development and Lifecycle Thermal Analysis (Launch/Moon Orbit/Landing/Operation)

ㅤ·Developing high-fidelity component- and system-level Thermal Mathematical Models (TMMs) and conducting thermal analyses throughout the mission lifecycle, including launch, cruise, lunar orbit, landing, and surface operations

ㅤ·Calibrating high-reliability thermal models through space thermal environment testing

■ Thermal Environmental Testing Evaluation (Thermal Vacuum, Thermal Balance) and Related Tooling Development

ㅤ·Designing thermal vacuum test profiles based on lunar exploration mobility mission scenarios

ㅤ·Developing fixtures, heaters, and sensors for thermal vacuum testing through preliminary thermal analysis

ㅤ·Conducting component- and system-level thermal control system testing and evaluation through thermal vacuum testing

ㅤ·Designing and manufacturing tooling for simulating the lunar environment in thermal vacuum tests using 3D CAD

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in thermal control tasks in aerospace hardware development, or equivalent
• Proficiency in English (fluent in both written and oral business communication)
• Those who are capable of leading thermal control development within the space system
• Experience using analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop(SINDA), AutoCAD, and 3D CAD(CATIA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in thermal control tasks on successful space programs
• Experience in thermal control system development (design/analysis/test evaluation/orbit operation) at the satellite system level
