This hands-on, lab-based internship is ideal for a student with PC troubleshooting experience gained through an IT help desk, computer repair center, campus technology support, or personal PC-building projects. You will deepen your understanding of PC hardware, system components, Windows, and drivers while collaborating with a global engineering team.

What You’ll Do

  • PC Testing: Review beta systems, identify hardware and software issues, and document findings.
  • Troubleshooting & Defect Reporting: Investigate PC problems, help prioritize defects, and record clear steps to reproduce issues.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to reproduce problems and support debugging.
  • Solution Verification: Partner with testing teams to verify fixes and confirm that issues have been resolved.
  • End-User Support: Help beta participants troubleshoot technical issues and communicate their feedback to the team.
  • Test Organization: Maintain organized records of testing activities, reported issues, and follow-up actions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and at sophomore standing or higher.
  • Windows Knowledge: Familiarity with the Windows operating system.
  • PC Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and troubleshoot common PC hardware and software issues.
  • Communication: Ability to explain technical issues clearly and work effectively with users and engineering teams.
  • Organization & Initiative: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a PC repair center, IT help desk, campus technology support, or similar technical support setting.

  • Professional or hobbyist experience assembling, repairing, or upgrading PCs.

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting Windows drivers, peripherals, and PC components.

  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel
