Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Third Shift Garage Mechanic to join our team in Hinton, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment during the overnight shift. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment during the third shift.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Inspect vehicles to identify problems and ensure safety standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Operate and maintain garage tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Ensure the garage area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests during the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a garage or fleet maintenance setting.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, engines, brakes, and electrical components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours (third shift).
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.

Work Schedule

This position is for the third shift, typically from 10 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.
