We are seeking a Threader for THIRD shift to join us in our Mill in Graham. The environment is fast-paced, and you’ll be working with a team of dedicated knitting professionals to help you take your textile career to the next level!

A Threader must have the ability to read and understand spec sheets and thread charts, so they can thread the yarn into the machine correctly. The employee must be able to tape out warps on the beam and in the machine.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to handle yarn delicately, have a steady hand and patience.
• Able to read and understand spec sheets and thread charts.
• Must possess general mathematical skills.
• Able to thread and install bars back into the knitting machine.
• Able to remove knitting bars, clean and grease bearing. Able to identify worn parts.
• Able to sley yarn.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours a day.
• Able to pass pre-employment substance screening and background check.
• Punctuality and good attendance are a must.

YOUR ROLE:

• Read and understand spec sheets and thread charts.
• Tape out warps on the beam and machine sley points.
• Thread and install bars back into the knitting machine.
• Remove knitting bars, clean and grease bearing. Able to identify worn parts.
• Able to sley yarn.
• Assist Knitters when needed.
• Accurately fill out production tickets and information.
• Recognize quality problems to minimize machine downtime.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping throughout the knitting room.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, stand and reach with their arms/fingers to work with yarn. The employee must be steady enough on their feet to climb a ladder. The employee must have excellent vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment exceeds OSHA’s’ Action Level, therefore, earplugs are required. The temperature is thermostat regulated.
