Threat Mitigation Lead - Network and Systems Attack Surface

For our client, we are seeking a Threat Mitigation Lead - Network and Systems Attack Surface to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will lead efforts to reduce exposure across the network and systems attack surface by turning threat and vulnerability data into prioritized remediation action. The position partners closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to drive burndown campaigns, remove blockers, and strengthen response discipline. It also combines automation, process improvement, and analyst enablement to improve how risk is tracked, communicated, and closed.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $129,000 – $253,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Assist in translating vulnerability and threat data into actionable remediation campaigns
• Develop automation solutions for triage and notification processes
• Track and drive closure of risk burndowns, unblocking remediation efforts
• Capture and package lessons learned for process improvement
• Support teams in interpreting and executing security plans
• Validate implementation of threat mitigation requirements in GRC tools
• Lead technical training and capability building for the analyst team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cyber Security
• 5+ years of experience in threat surface management, vulnerability management, or cyber defense
• 3+ years of experience driving remediation campaigns across teams without direct management authority
• 3+ years of experience with threat intelligence and prioritization methods
• CISSP, OSCP, or equivalent certifications preferred
