Ticket Operations and Client Relations - Spring 2027

Join the Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Team as a Ticket Operations and Client Relations Intern for the 2027 Spring season! The internship offers students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in professional sports through our dynamic internship program. The internship runs January through May at our ballpark in Sauget, Illinois. Beginning in 2027, the league will operate under the name National Association of Professional Baseball, formally known as the Frontier League.

Qualifications:

• Must be for college credit.
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to problem solve quickly and work efficiently in an intense environment.
• Able to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.).
• Must be willing and able to lift items up to 50 lbs. for set up and take down of games and events.
• Flexible to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and everyday questions about the Gateway Grizzlies organization.
• Assist and make sales calls from generated leads lists as well as cold calling potential clients.
• Carry out account review duties
• Assist with ticketing and event logistics for group sales and season ticket customers
• Engage in conversation publicly with clients and sponsors
• Assist customers at the front window with buying and purchasing their tickets
• Work at the front gate as a ticket scanner, usher, and giveaway team member.
• Carry out account review duties
• Assist other departments around the stadium such as the concession stand, team store, etc.
• Be available for community appearances with or as the mascot
• Assist in sales operations and activation.
• Entertain clients and high-level package holders during events and games at Arsenal BG Ballpark.
• Assist in maintaining and updating customer databases.
• Manage suites and other all-inclusive areas during games.
• Assist with ticketing and event logistics for group sales and season ticket customers.

Compensation:

• Unpaid internship
• Candidates can work games and extra events for compensation at an hourly rate.
• Housing is not provided for the internship (Applicants should consider the Greater St. Louis Area for housing)
