About the role:

Ready to help bring Christchurch's biggest festivals to life? Team Event is looking for a Ticketing & Customer Service Coordinator to keep the customer journey running smoothly from on sale to event day.

Team Event is a full-service event production company behind some of Australasia's most loved festivals and consumer events, including Electric Avenue, The Great Kiwi Beer Festival and Nostalgia, plus huge one-off concerts in Hagley Park. You'll be the go-to person for ticketing and customer support, working closely with ticketing providers and the wider marketing and events team.

This is a casual role, approximately 20 hours per week, reporting to the Marketing Manager. If you think you have what it takes, apply now with your resume and a cover letter outlining why you're the perfect fit for this role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • **Ticketing administration:**Manage ticket types, pricing, allocations, holds, releases and promo codes across all Team Event festivals.
  • **Complimentary tickets:**Issue and track comps for artists, sponsors, media, partners and staff, ensuring allocations are approved and accurately recorded.
  • **Provider liaison:**Work with ticketing providers to implement changes and troubleshoot issues quickly.
  • **Sales reporting:**Monitor ticket sales and share regular updates with the marketing and events team.
  • **Customer enquiries:**Respond to email and social media enquiries on purchases, refunds, transfers, ticket access and general event information.
  • **Community monitoring:**Keep an eye on event social channels and sentiment, escalating complex or sensitive issues where needed.
  • **FAQs and information:**Maintain customer-facing ticketing and event information so fans always know what's happening.
  • **Event and team support:**Provide event-day ticketing and customer support, plus general admin support to the marketing and events team as required.

What you’ll bring:

  • **Relevant experience:**Background in ticketing, customer service or event administration, ideally within festivals, live entertainment or hospitality.
  • **Ticketing know-how:**Working knowledge of ticketing platforms and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • **Written communication:**A friendly, professional tone across email and social media.
  • **Attention to detail:**Accuracy when managing allocations, pricing and records, and confidence reporting on sales data.
  • **Sound judgement:**Calm under pressure, with the instinct to know when to escalate a complex or sensitive issue.
  • **Multitasking:**Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, particularly around on sales and event periods.
  • **Team player:**An approachable, positive and reliable collaborator who's comfortable working across departments.
  • **Availability:**Flexibility to work event days, including weekends and extended hours as required.
