Job summary

The Ticketing Officer will be responsible for handling flight reservations, ticket issuance, rebooking, cancellations, and other travel-related booking services. The role involves providing accurate information to customers, responding to enquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth and satisfactory booking experience.

Responsibilities:

• Book, issue, reissue, and cancel domestic and international flight tickets.
• Handle flight reservations and itinerary modifications.
• Process refunds, exchanges, and ticket revalidation in accordance with airline policies.
• Ensure accuracy of all travel bookings and documentation.
• Provide prompt and professional customer support before, during, and after ticket issuance.
• Stay updated on airline schedules, fare changes, travel regulations, and visa requirements.
• Resolve ticketing issues and customer complaints efficiently.
• Maintain accurate booking records and prepare periodic reports.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure excellent service delivery.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Ticketing Agent in a Travel and Tours Agency.
• Strong knowledge of airline ticketing procedures and fare rules.
• Proficiency in GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• A diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• Professional certifications in airline ticketing or travel management will be an added advantage.
