What they need

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028 will be the biggest cricket world cup ever staged in the southern hemisphere — and this is your chance to be part of it.

Co‑hosted by Australia and New Zealand and operated by a Local Organising Committee (LOC), the tournament will bring together the world’s best teams and players, billions of fans and two nations passionate about delivering unforgettable global events. Across October and November 2028, cricket’s fastest and most exciting format will take centre stage on a truly global platform.

Working for the LOC presents an extraordinary opportunity for you to play a key role in uniting our communities through a spectacular festival of cricket that captures global attention and inspires the next generation of cricketers and fans.

You will be part of a passionate and dedicated team helping to build an unforgettable and truly unique event from the ground up. Every role contributes to creating moments that will be seen around the world and remembered for years to come.

If you’re energised by major events, thrive in fast‑paced environments and want your work to have global impact, this is an opportunity like no other.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re building the team that will bring the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028 to life, and we’re looking for a Ticketing Operations Coordinator (Australia) to support the planning and delivery of ticketing operations across the tournament. This is a unique opportunity to play a hands-on role across the ticketing program, from planning and sales preparation through to venue readiness and tournament-time delivery.

Working closely with the Ticketing Operations Managers and wider Ticketing team, you’ll provide day-to-day support across ticketing systems, event builds, inventory management, ticket fulfilment, sales launches and key ticketing milestones. You’ll also support stakeholder ticket allocations, maintain accurate records and reporting, and help identify and resolve operational issues.

Partnering with the appointed ticketing supplier, venues and teams across the LOC, you’ll help prepare allocated venues for tournament delivery and support match-day ticketing operations, including box office, ticket resolution, access control and customer service. While primarily focused on activities and venues within your host country, you may also support ticketing operations across New Zealand as required.

Based in Australia, this is a maximum term opportunity until November 2028.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ relevant experience in ticketing operations, venue ticketing, major events or a related operational environment.
  • Hands-on experience using ticketing systems and supporting ticketing operations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A practical, flexible and team-focused approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver accurate work within fixed timeframes.
  • Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand and work evenings, weekends and extended hours during key delivery periods.
  • Right to work in Australia.

Highly desirable

  • Experience working on a major sporting event or multi-venue event.
  • Experience supporting ticketing event builds, inventory management and/or stakeholder ticketing.
  • Experience with digital ticketing and venue access-control systems.
  • Knowledge of the Australian and/or New Zealand venue and ticketing environment.

OUR ORGANISATION

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028 is a global event, and our workforce reflects the diversity of the communities, cultures and nations it brings together. We are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful and high‑performing environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute. We recognise that diverse perspectives, experiences and backgrounds strengthen our teams and are essential to delivering a world‑class tournament on the global stage.

The LOC encourages people from all walks of life to apply and is committed to being a child safe organisation. All team members based in Australia are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Your experience matters to us. If you require any support or adjustments to take part in the application process, please let us know — we’ll work with you to ensure you can put your best foot forward.

Please submit your application via the link by 5pm AEST 16th October 2026.
