TIG Welder

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding on various metal materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that meets industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from structural components to intricate sheet metal fabrication, utilizing your expertise in welding techniques and mechanical fabrication. Duties

• Execute TIG welding on a variety of metal materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, following detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to accurately assemble and fabricate components.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to verify dimensions and ensure precision in fabrication.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical schematics and construction drawings to guide welding and assembly processes.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards such as AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes & standards.
• Collaborate with team members on assembly, installation, and other mechanical fabrication tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with TIG welding in construction sites or fabrication shops; familiarity with welding ALUMINUM preferred.
• Knowledge of MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding techniques is highly desirable
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, ductwork, or mechanical assembly is highly desirable.
• Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise measurements.
• Mechanical knowledge of materials handling equipment including forklifts; rigging experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to welding operations and construction environments; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Prior experience working with ASME codes & standards or AWS standards is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites or within manufacturing environments while adhering to safety guidelines.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
