The Role

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder who can also MIG weld to join our growing manufacturing team. The successful candidate will work on fabricating high-quality steel components for playground structures, ensuring precision, safety, and durability in every project.

Responsibilities

• Carry out TIG/MIG welding on stainless and mild steel components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Fabricate, assemble, and finish metal parts for playground equipment.
• Work to tight tolerances with a focus on quality and safety standards (BS EN 1176, ASTM, CSA).
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe and organised workshop environment.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and production staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a TIG/MIG welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Ability to work with stainless and mild steel to high standards.
• Competence in reading technical drawings and using fabrication tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Awareness of health & safety in a workshop environment.
• Relevant welding qualifications/certifications preferred.

High-quality TIG/MIG welding of mild and stainless steel is essential.

3 years minimum experience in TIG and MIG

Experience in fabrication.

Able to read and interpret technical fabrication drawings.

Experience or certificates in abrasive wheels.

Mill and Lathe experience - beneficial
