Tigrinya Interpreter

We are currently seeking ONSITE Tigrinya Interpreters in Metro Atlanta with at least one year of interpreting experience.

THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION. This is a freelance position with assignments available within flexible business hours, Monday through Friday on an as needed basis.

Duties:

• Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical, legal and educational venues.
• Perform in accordance with the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform interpreting duties in a professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate fluency in English and a 2nd language.
• Must have flexibility to accept assignments during weekdays and business hours.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Pass a written test on the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
• Able to pass language proficiency in both languages.
• Able to comply with credentialing requirements for independent contractors working in healthcare facilities.
• 40-Hour Certificate of Interpreter Training. (Preferred not required)
• Must be punctual and responsible.
• Must have reliable transportation.
