TikTok Live Host Trainer & Moderator

About the role

We are an established Malaysian fashion e-commerce brand running daily TikTok Live across men's, women's and kids' apparel. We are looking for a Live Host Trainer to build and develop our host team. This is a coaching and quality-control role rather than a hosting role. You will train the hosts, run the studio, moderate sessions in real time, and use performance data to improve what happens on camera.

Key responsibilities

• Train and develop the host team. Design and deliver structured onboarding and ongoing training, including live briefs, mock sessions and 1:1 coaching. Build the scripts, guidelines and pre-live checklists the team works from. Review session recordings, give specific feedback, and maintain training logs to track each host's progress.
• Run the studio and technical setup. Operate and troubleshoot OBS and TikTok Live Studio. Complete lighting, audio, framing and connectivity checks before every session, and develop studio operation guides so the team can work independently.
• Moderate live sessions and protect quality. Monitor sessions in real time for flow and on-brand communication. Manage the comment section, handle viewer questions, highlight promotional codes, filter inappropriate content, and support hosts through technical issues mid-broadcast.
• Analyse performance and act on it. Track average watch time, product-card CTR, conversion rate and GMV across every session. Diagnose the cause of any drop, implement corrective action, and report host progress and training outcomes to management.
• Own product knowledge across the team. Train hosts on materials, sizing, styling, key selling points and competitor comparisons, so that product storytelling on air is accurate, confident and aligned with brand positioning.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Fashion or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years in livestream hosting, e-commerce operations or social media production.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to give direct feedback to hosts on a daily basis.
• An analytical mindset. You should be able to read livestream performance data, form a view on what is wrong, and act on it rather than simply reporting it.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with a genuine interest in fashion, trends and online audience engagement.
