Tile Setter

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces before tile installation, including cleaning, leveling, and checking measurements.
• Read and follow drawings, layouts, and installation specifications.
• Measure and mark areas accurately for tile installation.
• Install ceramic, porcelain, granite, marble, and other types of tiles as required.
• Mix and apply tile adhesive, cement, grout, and other appropriate materials.
• Cut tiles accurately using tile cutters, grinders, or other appropriate tools.
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment, level, and pattern of installed tiles.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, stairs, bathrooms, kitchens, and other designated areas.
• Apply grout and properly clean and finish tiled surfaces.
• Inspect completed work and correct uneven, damaged, or improperly installed tiles.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the work area.
• Properly use, maintain, and store tools and equipment.
• Follow company safety rules, construction standards, and proper PPE requirements.
• Coordinate with the Foreman, Site Supervisor, and other workers regarding project requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar construction position.
• Knowledgeable in tile installation, cutting, grouting, and surface preparation.
• Ability to read basic construction plans and measurements.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor.
• Willing to work on different project sites.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of proper handling and use of construction tools.
• Willing to work overtime when required by the project.

Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed at construction/project sites and may involve standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, lifting materials, working at heights, and exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
