As a Tilt-Up Technician with Leviat, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your talents and passion in a constantly evolving construction industry. We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join the Leviat Engineering team as a technician within our tilt-up design team. Innovative products and services are at the foundation of our company, and this position will support the support the design and support of our market leading lifting and bracing products in the constantly evolving and growing concrete tilt-up construction industry.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to review project drawings and apply engineering principles to evaluate concrete tilt-up wall panels for lifting and bracing loads. Use proprietary design software to analyze stresses, assess panel behavior during handling and erection, and recommend lifting and bracing configurations that maintain panel integrity and safety.

This position reports to the Tilt Engineering Manager and will be based out of our office in Tampa, Florida. This job will not require travel. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay.

Responsibilities

Specific job functions include, but may not limited to the following:

• Interact and collaborate with customers, managers, engineers, project managers, quality control and other employees to resolve engineering related issues

• Adhere to customer (internal and external) volumes, timeline and expectations

• Interpret architectural/structural drawings

• Calculate lifting and bracing design for the tilt up industry

• Prepare bill of materials and take off drawings for submittals

• Handle multiple projects at once

• Provide excellent customer service and support

Qualifications (Education/Experience) And Required Skills

• Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Construction Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings

• Self-starter, motivated and able to take initiative, with ability to finish a project on time

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must be able to work closely with others

• Provide excellent customer service and support

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
