We are currently looking for an experienced Timber Glazer to join our busy production team.

Job Description:

This is a hands-on workshop-based role requiring excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and a high standard of workmanship. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of timber glazing techniques and be confident working independently to meet production deadlines.

IMPORTANT: Applicants must have previous timber glazing experience. Experience solely in PVC/uPVC glazing will NOT be considered suitable for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Glazing timber doors and other timber joinery products
• Measuring and cutting glass accurately to specification
• Preparing timber apertures ready for glazing
• Fitting glass into timber doors using appropriate glazing methods
• Fitting glazing beads, seals, sealants, and other glazing components
• Working with different types and sizes of glass
• Ensuring all glazing is fitted securely, accurately, and to a high standard
• Working from drawings, specifications, and job requirements
• Checking finished products for quality and defects
• Handling glass and timber safely
• Using hand tools and workshop equipment
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Working closely with the wider production team to meet deadlines
• Following all company health and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Timber Glazer is essential
• Experience glazing timber doors is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of timber glazing methods and materials
• Good understanding of measuring and working to specifications
• Experience with glazing beads, sealants, gaskets, and associated materials
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and fit glass
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
• Confident working independently and as part of a production team
• Physically fit and capable of handling glass, doors, and timber products
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
