Tire Service Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tire Service Manager to lead our tire and automotive service department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive sales through effective upselling and technical knowledge. You will manage a team of service technicians, coordinate tire and vehicle maintenance services, and uphold high standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will be key in creating a positive work environment while maximizing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Lead and motivate the service team to deliver outstanding tire and automotive repair services, including tire installation, rotation, balancing, and repair.
• Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and productivity goals.
• Manage customer interactions by providing expert advice on tire options, vehicle maintenance needs, and upselling additional services such as brakes, suspension, or oil changes.
• Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates, write detailed service orders, and communicate clearly with customers about work scope and costs.
• Coordinate with parts suppliers to ensure timely availability of tires and automotive components for repairs.
• Conduct regular training sessions on automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and new service techniques to keep the team current on industry best practices.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain proper documentation for all service activities.
• Manage inventory by tacking and updating stock, verifing deliveries, conducting physical counts, corresting discrepancies, mointoring levels, recording supplies, trianing staff, and reporting to ownership using inventory system
• Attend weekly agile meeting with key stakeholders

Skills

• Proven experience in auto service management or dealership environments with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
• Mechanical knowledge across various systems such as transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, suspension components, and tire services.
• Hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic with familiarity in auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with effective client communication to build trust and promote upselling opportunities.
• Ability to lead a team efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of automotive repair procedures including brake repair, oil changes, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and collision repair basics.
• Experience with cash handling, sales techniques including upselling strategies, and dealership or automotive service center operations.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles as needed.

Pay: $25.06 - $30.18 per hour
