Role Description The TMS Technician will support transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment services by preparing patients for sessions, operating TMS equipment under clinician supervision, and monitoring patient comfort and safety throughout each procedure. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying treatment protocols, documenting session details in medical records, maintaining equipment and treatment rooms, and following all clinical and safety guidelines. The technician will communicate clearly with patients about what to expect during TMS, observe and report any changes in patient status, and coordinate with physicians and other staff to ensure smooth scheduling and workflow. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Livingston, NJ, requiring consistent presence in the clinic during scheduled treatment hours.

Qualifications

• Foundational clinical skills, including familiarity with medical terminology, patient monitoring, and careful documentation of treatment sessions.
• Technical aptitude to learn and safely operate TMS devices, follow equipment protocols, and perform basic troubleshooting under supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures, respond to patient questions, and collaborate with healthcare providers.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety, privacy, and infection-control standards in a clinical environment.
• Ability to stand, sit, and move between treatment rooms as needed, and to follow structured schedules and protocols reliably.
• Prior experience in a healthcare, mental health, or outpatient treatment setting is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare certifications or coursework (e.g., medical assistant, behavioral health technician) are beneficial.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
