About This Role

Toddler Educator – 2-Year-Old Classroom

Little Feathers Learning Center is seeking a nurturing, energetic, and passionate educator to join our toddler team. Our 2-year-old classroom focuses on supporting independence, emotional development, early communication, and safe exploration through play-based learning.

The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and deeply committed to creating a warm, secure environment where children feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. This role includes guiding daily routines, supporting social-emotional development, introducing early learning concepts, and partnering with families to provide consistent, loving care.

If you have a heart for early childhood, enjoy working with curious little learners, and value positive guidance and meaningful connection, we would love to welcome you into our Little Feather family.

What You'll Do

Duties & Responsibilities – Toddler Educator (2-Year-Old Classroom)

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports each child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based activities that encourage language development, social skills, and early learning
  • Support daily routines including meals, rest, diapering, toileting, and transitions with patience and positive guidance
  • Partner with families to encourage developmentally appropriate potty learning, following each child’s readiness and center policies
  • Foster independence, confidence, and emotional regulation through gentle guidance and modeling
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation and communication with families through Kangarootime (updates, photos, notes)
  • Observe and assess children’s development and share progress with leadership and families as needed
  • Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
  • Collaborate respectfully with team members to support a positive, cohesive classroom culture

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications – Toddler Educator (2-Year-Old Classroom)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA preferred)
  • Must meet all Nevada licensing and background check requirements
  • Previous experience working with toddlers (1–3 years) in a licensed childcare or early learning environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers, including social-emotional development and early independence
  • Ability to provide consistent, positive guidance and create a calm, nurturing classroom environment
  • Comfortable supporting potty learning in a developmentally appropriate way in partnership with families
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build respectful, professional relationships with families and team members
  • Physically able to meet the demands of working with young children (lifting, bending, active engagement)
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training
