【Overview】

The company's payment service is one of the largest payment infrastructures in Japan. The company is looking for an application engineer to take charge of its development.

【Your Role】

As a leading servicer in the payment industry, the company is used by many customers (merchants). The company has created a new payment platform, including the construction of payment services for online shopping and utility bills, as well as smartphone payments in collaboration with banks and credit card companies, and is promoting many socially significant projects that make life more convenient.

As the payment and financial services infrastructure in Japan continues to evolve, there are many opportunities for the company's engineers to work on various aspects of the business, including exposure to new technologies such as AI/fraud detection. Application Engineers support the company's core service infrastructure and are critical to the growth of the business.

◇Planning and launching new payment systems and services offered by the company

◇Propose new services to other companies in cooperation with sales and planning staff

◇Planning of functional additions to our payment systems, system analysis, and formulation of improvement plans.

◇Planning, requirement definition, design, development, testing, commercial release, operation, and support for the addition of new payment methods and functions to our payment systems

◇Project management of system development projects

◇Proposal and introduction support for payment services, etc.

【Careers to experience / Skills to acquire】

◇Ability to develop systems

You will lead the development of payment systems provided by the company as a service. Many of the systems are a combination of open source technologies and products such as Java, Spring, Tomcat, and nginx. The company values in-house development, so engineers will develop their own technical skills as well as a sense of balance in organizing the team. They use waterfall, agile, and hybrid development methods for each service.

◇Management skills to build the company's services

With the background of growing interest in FinTech and advanced financial services in society, many projects are planned to plan and develop new payment services in collaboration with large banks, including major and regional banks, and large public customers. In cooperation with customers and vendors, the company manages projects lasting from six months to a year and lasting dozens to hundreds of man-months. You will gain experience working with a wide variety of stakeholders, including card companies and banks.

To build a payment system, you need to acquire in-depth knowledge of payments. 【MUST】

・Experience in development with web application systems using Java and other open languages

(Examples of skills that can be particularly utilized)

・Development skills in

・Java, Spring, Shell Script, Linux

・Application development skills using RDBMS

【WANT】*Meet any of the following

・Experience in EC web application development (payment related projects are a plus)

・Major EC (mall) operators or their system development companies

・Systems for financial institutions/credit card companies (front/back)

・Experience in upstream process (requirement definition, basic design)

・Experience in managing members of external subcontractors (SIer experience is welcome)

・Experience in building web applications using Java/Spring Framework/Spring Boot/nginx, etc.

・Experience in using "version control systems" such as SVN, Git, etc.

・Experience in developing smartphone applications using Java/Swift/Objective-C
