We are hiring Tool & Die Makers for our Day and Afternoon shifts.

Day Shift: 6.00am to 2.00pm (Monday to Friday)

Afternoon Shift: 2.00pm to 10.00pm (Monday to Friday)

Location: Newmarket, ON

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the root cause of tooling failures and perform general service, repair and improvements to the dies
• Read and interpret die drawings
• Maintain existing tooling, working to an accuracy of 1/1000 of inch minimum
• Assist Jr. Toolmakers with their work and help the Lead Hand to teach apprentices
• Organize own work as well as the workload of Jr. Toolmakers in an efficient and professional manner
• Strive to get immediate resolution of problem situations
• Troubleshoot in the press when required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma with four (4) year apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
• Eight (8) years tool making experience with an emphasis on die maintenance
• Ability to open, close and flip dies safely
• Familiarity with all machine tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
