Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Tool Design Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience in designing manufacturing tools, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and dies. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of CAD tools, engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes to support product development and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and dies for manufacturing processes.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Perform design modifications and engineering change implementations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to optimize tooling solutions.
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
• Support tool trials, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Create and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and engineering records.
• Adhere to design standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CATIA, UG NX, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Strong understanding of Tool Design, Fixture Design, Jigs & Gauges.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, casting, and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with tolerance stack-up and design calculations.
• Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing methods.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment, or Medical Devices domains.
• Exposure to PLM/PDM systems.
• Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
• Basic understanding of FEA and tooling validation methods.
• Familiarity with quality tools and standards.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
