Tool Designer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Designer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling components. The role involves preparing 2D engineering drawings, creating 3D models, and coordinating with tool room and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling components as per project requirements.
• Prepare detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Read and interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings.
• Ensure proper dimensions, tolerances, fits, and clearances in tool designs.
• Select suitable materials and components for tool manufacturing.
• Coordinate with tool room, CNC machining, production, and quality teams.
• Support tool manufacturing, assembly, trials, testing, and commissioning.
• Modify existing tool designs to improve performance and productivity.
• Identify design issues and provide effective technical solutions.
• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and easy to manufacture and maintain.
• Maintain design documentation, revision records, and technical specifications.
• Complete assigned design projects within the required timelines.

Requirements

• Diploma or relevant technical qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience in tool design, tooling development, or mechanical design is preferred.
• Understanding of machining processes, CNC operations, and tool room practices.
• Knowledge of material selection, heat treatment, and basic tooling design principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
