Tool Designer(Phulgaon)

Position Summary

A Detailing Designer is responsible for preparing precise technical drawings, 2D/3D models, and documentation that translate design concepts into manufacturable or constructible outputs. They ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and clarity for production teams, bridging the gap between design and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Drawing & Modeling
• Create detailed CAD drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication layouts.
• Develop 2D/3D models based on engineering or architectural specifications.
• Ensure drawings meet industry codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Documentation
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), revision records, and drawing logs.
• Ensure proper version control and documentation of design files.
• Support project teams with accurate detailing documents.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify requirements.
• Provide technical input during design reviews.

Coordinate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and constructability.

• Quality & Accuracy
• Check drawings for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and completeness.
• Conduct self-review and peer review to minimize errors.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Software & Tools
• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla, Revit, CATIA, etc.).
• Use specialized detailing tools depending on industry (structural steel, mechanical, architectural).
• Stay updated with new technologies and industry practices.
