Tool Maker- Class A

Overview
We are currently seeking an experience Toolmaker- Class A to join our Tool Room team in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and building complex tooling while maintain production and continuous improvement iniatives.

The role requires a highly skilled individual with strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Die maintenance, repair, improvement, and die build/construction.
• Perform engineering changes and general tooling maintenance.
• Troubleshoot tooling production issues
• Welding and fabrication as required.
• Build protypes, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Maintain spare tooling and components inventory.
• Independently set up, calibrate and operate tool room equipment
• Support production uptime and minimize downtime.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain safe working practices and ensure safety of fellow employees.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills related to safe and efficient tool room operations.
• Ability to read and interpret CMM reports and make sound judgements.
• Ability to assume responsibility and decision-making in the absence of management.
• Experience maintaining large complex tooling.
• Familiarity with IATG 16949 requirements related to tooling management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
