Tool Room Engineer , Associate

We are looking for a Tool Room Engineer Associate to handle mould preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, mould fitting, spotting, polishing, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in injection mould maintenance, hot runner systems, and conventional tool room machines, ensuring mould reliability and uninterrupted production.

Skill / Qualifications

• Diploma in Plastic Mould Technology (DPMT) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preference for DPMT from CIPET or a Diploma in Plastics Technology/Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in mould maintenance and tool room activities.
• Hands-on experience in mould preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Proficiency in mould insert matching, fitting, spotting, and polishing.
• Experience in mould breakdown troubleshooting, correction, and hot runner system maintenance.
• Ability to operate conventional tool room machines.
• Knowledge of mould drawings, assembly/disassembly, dimensional inspection, mould refurbishment, and root-cause analysis (RCA) is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and maintenance documentation skills.
• Candidates with equivalent technical qualifications may be considered based on relevant experience and practical competency.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulds.
• Carry out mould insert matching, fitting, spotting, polishing, and correction activities.
• Troubleshoot mould breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect, maintain, and correct hot runner system moulds.
• Operate conventional tool room machines for mould maintenance and repair.
• Support mould assembly, disassembly, refurbishment, and dimensional inspection.
• Identify recurring mould issues and assist in root-cause analysis.
• Maintain tool room maintenance records, documentation, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure mould reliability and smooth manufacturing operations.
