Tool Setter

1.0 General

1.1 Use manual lifter and reach truck to set up and remove tooling from press machines

1.2 Follow work instructions and Procedures

1.3 Work with sense of urgency to meet production requirements

1.4 Work closely with Tool Room by Providing information needed by Tool makers to accurately diagnose and repair dies

1.5 Promote 5S and housekeeping to meet department requirements

1.6 Assisting production operators and Tool Room personnel when necessary

1.7 Assist with Trouble shooting and problem solving to meet quality specification

1.8 when tooling need repair open the Tooling Repair & Maintenance Order (TRMO) and submitted to Tool makers

2.0 Tooling set up and Part Buy-off

2.1 Follow die setting procedure according for each press, verifying at the same time that die height lists are updated and or changed if needed

2.2 Submission of samples to quality control in a timely manner

2.3 To co ordinate Tool makers and achieve first piece buy off >90%

3.0 Tooling Storage

3.1 Active and Non active (Obsolete) Tooling must keep in designated tooling racks

3.2 Responsible for keeping Tooling and Tooling racks are Clean and Orderly

3.3 Make sure all Tooling have Part Number and Process Number
