Tooling Engineer

• Responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of plastic injection molds -and related tooling. The role ensures that molds and tooling systems are capable of producing high-quality plastic components. efficiently while meeting production, quality, and cost objectives.
• Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and recommend tooling solutions to optimize production.
• Work closely with Product Design, Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Maintenance teams during new product introduction and process improvements.
• Analyze mold failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve tooling reliability.
• Manage tooling modifications, engineering change requests (ECRs).
• Coordinate with external mold makers and suppliers to ensure tooling is delivered on schedule and meets quality requirements.
• Support process validation, mold trials, first article inspections, and production qualification activities.
• Ensure compliance with company quality systems, safety standards, and manufacturing best practices.

Education

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering o related field.

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
