Tooling Quality Engineer

• Participate project Kick-off meeting (organize by Tooling Business Leader), receive quality & schedule related information.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans and inspection strategies for manufacturing tooling / fixture. If applicable. (otherwise follow standard checklist).
• Ensure completed design post-check & add (if applicable) lesson learnings.
• Ensure deliverables (samples) as per quality level relatively with milestones.
• Oversee and conduct standard inspections and dimensional verification, in line with the compliance & Design during as-built tooling construction phase, machining, assembly and tryout’s .
• Participate during the tooling / fixture trial phases, contribute value addition to the process.
• Perform tool / fixture validation as per standard procedure.
• Support suppliers to perform capability studies (e.g., Cpk, Ppk) on critical tooling features.
• Responsible to signing off the buyoff report with Business unit’s (customer).
• Participate in and support supplier qualification programs based on risk assessment and business needs. (as per the Standard).
• Participate in the approval of new suppliers and the ongoing assessment of existing ones.
• Initiate and conduct for cross-functional teams to go thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for tooling failures, process inconsistencies. and quality escapes – During Buyoff & HLTO phases.
• Support quality activities (with records, information & analysis) as needed by Manager.
