About the role

The role includes finalising and assembly of new tools, ensuring they meet customer specifications and on time delivery as well as servicing, modification and repair of existing tooling.

You will be a key member of the EG Whiter Ltd team ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and on time completion of all customer projects both internal and external.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure new and existing tools are of a high standard of quality
• Prioritising, planning and verifying work
• Efficient operation of equipment
• On time completion of all customer projects both internal and external
• Ensure Health and Safety practices are followed at all times to ensure a safe working environment
• Comply with and actively support the organization’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

About you

• Formal qualification in Toolmaking (valid Trade Certified, NZQA Level 4 Mechanical certification or higher, or equivalent with proven work experience)
• Experience in the use of workshop equipment and precision measuring instruments
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Self-management skills and can prioritise your workload
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• A pro-active and enthusiastic approach to work and company development
• Will take responsibility for meeting deadlines and solving problems and be flexible about working hours to achieve this
• NZ citizen, have a valid NZ working visa or be eligible to apply for one
