Toolmaker/Fixture Builder 5+ YRS EXP REQ

Bayside Engineering and Tool, a subsidiary of Motor City Stamping, Inc. provides design, engineering and prototype services. We are looking to expand our workforce!

We are looking for an experienced toolmaker with experience in precision machining and fixture building. Must be adept at blueprint interpretation and adhering to manufacturing standards. Must be able to operate diverse shop machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and build fixtures and gages to precise customer specifications from start to finish, ensuring first time quality.
• Interpret and modify design blueprint schematicd and shop drawings to meet print tolerances and project requirements.
  -Operate bridgeport, surface grinder, boring mill and other tool room machines with minimal supervision
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality inspection and dimensional verification of tooling components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

• Previous experience as a tool builder or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

Must have own tools

Must have own transportation

Hours Monday - Friday 5am - 430pm Saturday 5am - 11am as needed.

Bi-weekly pay

Benefits available first of the month after date of hire.

401k with match first of quarter after 6 months of service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 65.0 per week
