About the role
The Tools Custodian ensures the security, cleanliness, availability, and proper allocation of tools and equipment needed for service bay operations. Supports technical efficiency by maintaining tool integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Keep updated logs of all tools assigned to mechanics
- Track tool movement in and out of the tool storage area
- Ensure all measuring tools and specialized equipment are calibrated
- Coordinate repairs or replacements for damaged tools
- Implement tool issuance protocols
- Report lost or damaged tools to OM–External immediately
- Keep tool storage organized and hazard-free
- Ensure tools are stored properly after use
- Ensure timely issuance of tools to support workflow
- Prepare tools for technical and operational audits
