Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Top Hand to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves working outdoors on telecommunications towers, performing essential construction, maintenance, and testing tasks to ensure optimal network performance. As a Top Hand, you will be instrumental in supporting tower climbing operations, installing and repairing telecommunications equipment, and adhering to strict safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Job Description:

Performs tasks related to tower construction and deconstruction, line and antenna installations/decommissions, maintenance and lighting work, and tower/foundation modifications under the crew leader and project manager. Manages tower-top work; assists with tower, antenna, coax, waveguide, fiber/hybrid, microwave, omni, panel and dipole systems; supports microwave path alignment/testing and rigging/lift planning; performs inspections and maintenance; takes a lead role in on-site troubleshooting; and supports job-site safety, organization, cleanliness and closeout. Must follow ETS/OSHA safety requirements, work safely at heights of 500+ feet, use hand/power tools, communicate effectively, drive safely, work at least 40 hours per week, travel/overnight/weekend as needed, maintain a valid driver's license and insurance eligibility, and pass required drug/background screening.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages tower-top work
• Assists with tower, antenna, coax, waveguide, fiber/hybrid, microwave, omni, panel and dipole systems
• Supports microwave path alignment/testing and rigging/lift planning
• Perform inspections and maintenance
• Takes a lead role in on-site troubleshooting
• Supports job-site safety, organization, cleanliness and closeout

Qualifications:

• Requires at least 4 years of tower construction experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe,
• Reliable transportation
• No Felony convictions
• Negative Drug Screen

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to work safely at 500+ feet
• Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills
• Basic knowledge of hand/power tools
• Time management
• Microsoft Office, adobe knowledge

Salary Range: $24- $30

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
