About the role

PT. Bintang Wisata Dunia is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Tour Consultant & Operation & Ticketing professional to join our dynamic travel agency team. This is a full-time position based in West Jakarta, Jakarta. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing tour consultations, coordinating travel operations, and handling ticketing services to ensure seamless travel experiences for our clients. You will serve as a key point of contact for customers whilst maintaining efficient operational procedures and delivering exceptional service standards. This role is fundamental to our business success and directly impacts client satisfaction and company revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation to clients regarding tour packages, destinations, and travel arrangements, addressing their specific needs and preferences
• Process and manage ticket bookings for flights, hotels, and other travel services using relevant booking systems and platforms
• Coordinate tour logistics and operational details, including itinerary planning, accommodation arrangements, and ground transportation
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client information in the company's database systems
• Handle client enquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction
• Liaise with tour operators, hotels, airlines, and other travel partners to confirm reservations and manage operational requirements
• Prepare travel documentation including invoices, quotations, and travel itineraries for clients
• Monitor travel trends, destinations, and promotional offers to provide clients with current and competitive options
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue generation through effective consultation and upselling of travel services
• Ensure compliance with travel regulations, visa requirements, and insurance policies relevant to client destinations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in travel consultancy, ticketing operations, or related travel industry roles
• Proficiency in travel booking systems and global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of global destinations, visa requirements, travel documentation, and industry best practices
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clientele
• Proven organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple bookings and client requests simultaneously
• Attention to detail with strong accuracy in processing financial transactions and booking confirmations
• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets and identify cross-selling opportunities
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages such as Mandarin or other regional languages are advantageous
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional during peak travel periods
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant travel management software
• Valid passport and flexibility to potentially travel for business purposes if required
