Tour Guide (Guest Relation Expert)

About the role

Pt Island Connections International is seeking a talented and customer-focused Guest Relation Expert to join our team in Batam, Riau Islands. This part-time role will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services and creating memorable experiences for our valued customers. As the face of our company, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the satisfaction and enjoyment of our guests throughout their stay.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly reception
• Resolving guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
• Assisting guests with check-in and check-out procedures
• Providing recommendations and information about local attractions, activities and dining options
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the guest reception area
• Actively listening to guest feedback and implementing improvements to enhance the overall guest experience

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in English and the local language(s)
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Enthusiastic, friendly and service-oriented attitude
• Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our guests
