The Seneca County Collaborative is accepting applications for a Tourism Manager to lead Destination Seneca County, our tourism division, and help tell the story of the people, places, businesses, and experiences that make Seneca County a great place to visit.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Tourism Manager leads the day-to-day work of Destination Seneca County, including tourism promotion, partner engagement, visitor services, digital content, and the Seneca County Welcome Center.

The Tourism Manager also works with Collaborative division leads to provide graphic design, photography, content development, and other marketing assistance based on the priorities of their respective divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations and initiatives of Destination Seneca County.
• Develop and execute countywide tourism promotions and campaigns.
• Build relationships with lodging providers, restaurants, attractions, retailers, event organizers, local governments, and tourism partners.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout Seneca County through partner visits and community engagement.
• Manage Destination Seneca County’s website, social media platforms, and calendar of events.
• Create graphics, advertisements, promotional pieces, event materials, and other visual content using Canva and related tools.
• Develop written and visual content highlighting Seneca County businesses, attractions, events, people, and experiences.
• Capture and maintain photography and other marketing assets.
• Develop and maintain the Seneca County Visitors Guide and other tourism resources.
• Oversee the Seneca County Welcome Center and visitor information resources.
• Coordinate quarterly Seneca County Tourism Board meetings and tourism reporting.
• Represent Destination Seneca County through tourism industry organizations, meetings, conferences, and professional development.
• Provide graphic design, photography, and content support for programs and initiatives across the Collaborative.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and experience in tourism, destination marketing, hospitality, marketing, communications, community relations, or related work preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• Strong proficiency with Canva and the ability to create professional graphics and promotional materials.
• Strong social media and digital content development skills.
• Experience managing website content.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Photography experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Seneca County and an interest in community storytelling and promoting local businesses and experiences are valued.

Position Details

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Tiffin, Ohio. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. The position includes regular local travel throughout Seneca County and evening and weekend availability for tourism events, community programs, meetings, and other activities outside standard business hours.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $55,000
