Tow Truck Operator

Pay: Commision (based on experience)
Schedule: Day Shift, Night Shift, Weekends, On-Call, etc

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide roadside assistance, vehicle towing, recovery services, and excellent customer service. This position requires safe operation of tow trucks and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate flatbed, wheel-lift, and/or rollback tow trucks safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to dispatch calls for towing and roadside assistance.
• Load, transport, and unload vehicles while following safety procedures.
• Provide services such as jump starts, tire changes, lockout assistance, and fuel delivery.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate service records.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, law enforcement, and insurance representatives.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and a clean work environment.
• Follow all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required, depending on equipment).
• Clean driving record.
• Previous towing, recovery, transportation, or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
