Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized equipment, to recover and transport vehicles safely.
• Assess vehicle conditions using automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to determine the best towing approach.
• Secure vehicles properly using cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
• Load, unload, and transport vehicles with precision while adhering to safety standards and traffic laws.
• Communicate effectively with customers and dispatchers to coordinate towing operations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, conflict management during stressful situations, and proper use of forklift or other lifting equipment when necessary.

Experience

• Proven experience operating tow trucks or similar commercial driving vehicles with a focus on loading and unloading vehicles.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, including automotive diagnostics and repair skills.
• Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive repair procedures.
• Experience with cargo securement protocols and vehicle load & unload procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with flatbed tow trucks is highly preferred.
• Additional certifications such as forklift operation or mechanic experience are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
