Tow Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional roadside assistance and towing services to customers in need. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of tow trucks safely and efficiently. Experience is preferred but not required. Must pass a BCI background check and be able to pass UDOT Towing Certification.

Duties

• Operate flatbed and other types of tow trucks to transport vehicles safely.
• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Conduct basic mechanical diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during roadside assistance calls.
• Manage conflicts professionally and calmly when dealing with distressed customers.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided, including vehicle condition reports.
• Ensure the tow truck is in good working condition through regular inspections and maintenance.
• Drive safely and adhere to all traffic laws while on duty, including operating manual transmission vehicles when necessary.

Skills

• Proficient in operating flatbed tow trucks and performing load/unload tasks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for basic automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Excellent driving skills with a valid driver's license; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
• Ability to manage conflicts effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction in challenging situations.
• Strong customer service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
• Experience operating forklifts is advantageous but not required.
