Responsibilities

• Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized equipment, to recover and transport vehicles
• Perform vehicle diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs when necessary to facilitate towing or recovery
• Secure vehicles properly using cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit
• Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks
• Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting to assess the condition of vehicles before towing or recovery
• Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle mechanics for truck drivers and load securement protocols
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients during roadside assistance or vehicle recovery operations
• Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle details, and incident reports for record keeping

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record, including experience with commercial truck driving and manual transmissions
• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and minor mechanical vehicle repairs
• Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and vehicle recovery towing techniques
• Strong understanding of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading practices
• Ability to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues quickly and effectively under pressure
• Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, operate heavy machinery safely, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Prior experience in car towing or vehicle recovery is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
