Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing and recovering vehicles, ensuring efficient service for our clients. This role requires mechanical aptitude, safe vehicle handling skills, and the ability to operate manual transmission tow trucks effectively. The Tow Truck Operator plays a vital role in vehicle recovery operations, providing reliable support in various roadside situations.

Duties

• Perform car towing and vehicle recovery towing with professionalism and safety in mind.
• Safely load vehicles onto tow trucks, ensuring secure transportation.
• Operate tow trucks equipped with manual transmissions, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting to assess issues and determine appropriate recovery methods.
• Assist in mechanical maintenance or minor repairs of tow trucks when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge related to vehicle mechanics for truck drivers.
• Respond promptly to roadside assistance requests, providing efficient and courteous service.
• Follow all safety guidelines and traffic laws during towing and recovery operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and routine inspection of tow trucks to ensure operational readiness.

Experience

• Prior experience operating tow trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanics and basic troubleshooting skills are highly desirable.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with vehicle recovery procedures will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to safety standards and ability to work under pressure in roadside situations.
